You will see many types of landscapes of Himalayan ranges, completely different from each other - the green hills in the state of Himachal Pradesh, spacious horizons and "Swiss" snow-capped peaks in Kashmir, sandy desert valleys and towering cliffs of Ladakh.

You will visit a completely different India - Hindu (Himachal Pradesh), Muslim (Kashmir) and Buddhist (Ladakh).

Day 01 (Sat) Moscow - Delhi
Departure from Moscow at 19.05 Aeroflot flight SU232 *.

* - Fly to Delhi can be done in any other convenient for you flight.

 

Day 02 (Sun) Delhi - McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala - 450 km / 9-10 hours driving
Arrival at 03.00 in Delhi. Transfer to McLeod Ganj (Dharamsala)* by 7-seats comfortable jeeps. Each car will house 4-5 people. Check-in to hotel. Dinner..

* - Also possible flight-transfer Delhi-Dharamsala by local airline (airfare Delhi-Dharamsala-Delhi ~ $ 270-300)

 

Day 03 (Mon), McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala
Sightseeing. This small town is really nice place to spend there one day. Foremost - the residence of the Dalai Lama. It is a place steeped in the spirit of culture and traditions of both countries - Tibet and India.

Day 04 (Tue) McLeod Ganj - Srinagar (1,585 m) - 440 km / 10-11 hours driving
Let's go! Road to Srinagar leads to this majestic Himalayas. Along the way you will meet many brightly decorated trucks that will welcome you friendly beep. Enjoy this road and the scenery mountain ranges of Himalayas. Our route will go through small city in mountains Pantitop and through Kashmir Valley. We will drive in long tunnel (2.5 km) through the mountain. A few minutes and we - in the heart of Kashmir. Incredibly beautiful valley you can win its magnificent scenery. On arrival in the capital of Kashmir (Srinagar city) – check-in to a fantastic hotel-boat on the water (house-boat).

Day 05 (Wednesday) Srinagar - day sightseeing
At the morning we will visit the floating market and the Dal Lake. And we take a trip on a boat on the canals of the city. You will see how calm and relaxed Srinagar. In the evening on the balcony of the hotel you will enjoy a boat unparalleled views of the lake at sunset.

Day 06 (Thursday) Srinagar - Kargil (2704 m) - 225 km / 8 hours driving
Today we will start to climb and drive through the top of the Himalayas. But before we reach the pass Zozila La (3529 m), we will go through the valley, also known as the "Indian Switzerland." Seeing these mountains, you will understand why they are so called. Overnight in a simple and friendly hotel in Kargil.

Day 07 (Fri), Kargil - Lamayuru (3510 m) - 153 km / 6 hours driving
Here we go up even higher. Among the giant mountains you feel small grain of sand. This is one of the most impressive parts of the route. Defeating two pass -3760 m and 4147 m - we come to one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries of Lamayuru, built over 1,000 years ago. Overnight at the hotel near the monastery.

Day 08 (Sat) Lamayuru - Leh (3350 m) - 115 km / 4 hours driving
On the way to the capital of Ladakh, the Leh, we will be almost surreal "moon landscape." We will be surrounded the sharp outlines of the mountains on the background of the desert valley. In the afternoon we arrive in Leh. Accommodation at the hotel. Visits to local sightseengs - Shanti Stupa, monastery Tiksi and etc. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 09 (Sun) Leh
This day we will visit unusually beautiful monastery just outside of the capital of Ladakh. Hemis monastery – is the one of the largest and best-known monasteries, which also has a historical museum. Next, we will visit the famous monastery at least Thikse and Chi Palace. On the way back to the city we'll visit local market. Dinner at one of the city restaurants. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 (Mon) Leh – KhardungLa Pass (5602 m)
Today you will visit the world's highest car pass. Above this point is not taken from any car and a motorcycle in the world! Return to Leh. Dinner at the one of the restaurants in town. Overnight at hotel

Day 11 (Tue) Leh - Pangong Lake (5360 m) - Leh, 140 km / 5 hours driving one way
It is time to get even higher! Today you will conquer the Himalayas! This day we will be on the pass 5360 m, from where stunning views, is truly breathtaking. We head to Lake Pangong, luminous blue-green distance magic. We will be very close to the borders of Tibet. Return to Leh. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 (Wed) Leh - Sarchu (4290 m) - 260 km / 10 hours driving
It will be a long day. But today you will see features of the landscape and the extraordinary nature. In some places during the route - as a rally in Dakar, but it will not prevent you to enjoy the fantastic views all around. Overnight in tents in Sarchu (all tents are equipped with individual bathroom).

Day 13 (Thu) Sarchu - Keylong (3080 m) - Manali (2050 m) - 258 km / 9-10 hours driving
Today, our pass - is 4880 meters. And we keep continue to gradually reduce the height. You will see that the landscape is becoming more green. Keylong - a small town of a few streets. Here, we have returned to the "Indian" part of India. And also today we will overcome not the highest, but, perhaps, the most difficult part of the route - Rohtang Pass. Going up to the pass, we will be almost at the clouds. Gradually reducing the height, we drive to the Manali - an active town with many good hotels and restaurants. Overnight at the hotel with a stunning view of the mountains.

Day 14 (Fri) Manali - Naggar - Manali.
Today we will spend all day in Manali and around places. Of course, we will visit the estate of Nicholay Rerikh, a famous Russian artist and writer who lived most of his life in the Himalayas. Dinner at the one of the city restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 (Sat) Manali - Delhi - 430 km / 9-10 hours driving
Early morning we start to Delhi on a comfortable jeep*.
Arrival at the international airport in Delhi.
Check-in Aeroflot flight SU233 to Moscow.

* - Also possible flight-transfer Dharamshala - Delhi by local airline (airfare Delhi-Dharamsala-Delhi ~ $ 270-300)

Day 16 (Sun) Delhi - Moscow
04.00 - departure to Moscow flight SU233.
9:00 am – Arriving to Moscow.

The cost of a trip INCLUDED:

  1.  International flight Moscow-Delhi-Moscow (~ $ 750-800)
  2. The consular fee for a visa (~ $ 65)
  3. Medical and travel insurance (individual, depending on the type of insurance). Existence of a special insurance is highly demand!
  4. Motorcycle gear (mandatory for motorcycle riders and passengers)
  5. Transfer Delhi - Dharamsala - Delhi. Transfer by jeep ~ $ 50 per person one way, or domestic flight ~ $ 270-300
  6. Dinner in restaurants on the menu (except for those which provided by BB hotel accomodation according to programm)
  7. Accommodation at the hotel over the proposed program (if you arrived in McLeod Ganj earlier and / or want to stay in town for a few days after the tour)
